Biologically Based Therapies

Biologically based therapies use naturally occurring substances and include individual biologic therapies (such as using shark cartilage to treat cancer and glucosamine to treat osteoarthritis), chelation therapy, diet therapy, herbal medicine, and orthomolecular medicine. Many biologically based therapies have been shown to be ineffective (for example, shark cartilage for cancer).
