Schistocytes (RBC Fragments)


Schistocytes (see arrows) are damaged RBCs, which may occur in microangiopathic hemolytic anemia (including disseminated intravascular coagulation, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura/hemolytic-uremic syndrome, and valvular hemolysis).
