    Renal Cortical Necrosis

    Renal cortical necrosis is characterized histologically by necrosis of glomeruli and tubules. Necrosis in this biopsy specimen is manifest by small nuclei and ghost-like outlines of cells (periodic acid-Schiff stain, ×400).
