    Herpes Simplex (Disciform Keratitis)

Disciform keratitis is a form of herpes simplex infection manifest as a disc-shaped, local area of corneal edema and haze accompanied by anterior uveitis. It occurs in patients who have had dendritic keratitis and probably represents an immunologic response to the virus.
