Actinic Keratosis

Return to Topic

  • Chronic Effects of Sunlight
  • Actinic keratoses are premalignant lesions that are a consequence of many years of sun exposure. Actinic keratoses should not be confused in name or appearance with seborrheic keratoses, which also develop with age but may occur on non‒sun-exposed areas and are not premalignant.
