  • Keratoacanthoma is a round, firm nodule with sharply sloping borders and a characteristic central crater. Keratoacanthomas develop rapidly, typically on sun-exposed areas. Cause is unknown, but they may be a well-differentiated form of squamous cell carcinoma.
