  • Acute promyelocytic leukemia is usually the most easily diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia because cytoplasm of the malignant cells is replete with large eosinophilic granules and Auer rods. The nuclei are often multilobed with indistinguishable nucleoli and are heavily weighted with variably colored granules.
