Seventh Cranial Nerve Palsy, Peripheral

Seventh cranial nerve palsy causes paresis of the facial muscles. Peripheral palsy, unlike central palsy, causes paresis of the forehead facial muscles; furrowing of the forehead is absent, and the eyebrow cannot be raised.
