Age-Related Macular Degeneration (Exudative)



Proliferation of blood vessels and drusen are characteristic of exudative (also called wet or neovascular) age-related macular degeneration. Discoloration and macular elevation seen in this image are caused by hemorrhage, fluid accumulation, or both.
