A regenerative anemia with increased polychromasia and acanthocytosis in blood from a dog with hemangiosarcoma. A neutrophil and a nucleated erythrocyte (metarubricyte) are also present, Wright-Giemsa, 100X oil immersion. Acanthocytes are commonly seen in this disorder when metastatic liver infiltrates occur.
