Nonspecific Immunotherapy

Under some circumstances it may be desirable to enhance the activity of an animal's immune system. This may include stimulation of the normal immune response to enhance protection and treatment of immunosuppressive conditions. Several different types of immunostimulators have been used in veterinary medicine. Many act by stimulating one or more toll-like receptors or related receptor systems.
