Billroth II Repair
The Billroth II procedure consists of a partial gastrectomy and gastrojejunostomy. The afferent limb is the remaining duodenum including the ampulla of Vater, which receives secretions from the common bile and pancreatic ducts. The efferent limb is the small bowel distal to the gastric anastomosis, which receives food and other stomach contents as well as the secretions from the afferent limb.
