Pneumothorax After Chest Tube Placement

Pneumothorax After Chest Tube Placement

After placement of a pigtail chest tube, the right lung in this image has re-expanded, with lung markings clearly visible.

The pulmonary edema is due to congenital heart disease (total anomalous pulmonary venous return) and is not directly related to the pneumothorax.
