Clue Cells
Clue cells are vaginal epithelial cells with adherent coccobacilli that partially obscure their cell margins. Microscopic evaluation of a saline wet mount that shows > 20% of epithelial cells are clue cells contributes to a diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis.
