Lichen Simplex Chronicus (Vulva)

Lichen Simplex Chronicus (Vulva)

This photo shows prominent lichenification, some swelling, and hyperpigmentation of the vulva and adjacent skin. This may be due to a chronic dermatitis (eg, allergic contact dermatitis) or to a radiculopathic pruritus. In either case, chronic itch and scratching contribute to this reaction.
